This is a 6″ Panawal Angkhola Kitchen Khukuri | Genuine Full Tang Kukri Knife. The word Angkhola is a village in Nepal where this specific khukuri design was made. Angkhola is also comprised of two separate Nepali words “Ang” and “Khola”. “Ang” means the back part of the human body whereas “Khola” means to open. So the blade part of this specially designed khukuri looks like the back part of the human body.
The 6″ Panawal Angkhola Kitchen Khukuri has a 6-inch super sharp & semi-polished blade with a balanced oil quenching temper and is made from highly graded 5160 carbon steel. There is a single-piece blade that goes all the way through the bottom of the handle. The handle is about 4-inch in length and made from rosewood. Two rosewood pieces are joined to both sides of the end of the handle and strongly bolted by metal rivets. There is a beautiful scabbard made from cotton wrapped in water buffalo hide.
This design is well suited for heavy-duty tasks, like cutting hardwoods, firewood, bones, etc. The full tang handle on this khukuri can actually sustain a lot of work and overwork. The fuller on the blade helps to work with the knife and makes it easy to strike with the knife and complete the work easily and comfortably.
